Prof. B.K.S. Sanjay Assumes Charge as AIIMS Guwahati President

Padma Shri Prof. (Dr) B.K.S. Sanjay, a renowned orthopaedic surgeon, took charge as AIIMS Guwahati’s new President. He pledged to make the institute a centre of excellence, focusing on cancer, cardiac diseases, drug addiction, and disabilities in the Northeast. Dr Sanjay highlighted new facilities like a Trauma Centre, advanced Radiology, and Cardiology departments, along with free treatment under Ayushman Bharat. He also stressed community outreach, including immunisation, de-addiction, and disability care.
