Protests Erupt in Dibrugarh After Body of Missing Woman Found in River
Protests broke out in Dibrugarh on Thursday after the body of a 22-year-old woman, missing since January 9, was found floating in the Sessa River. The body, discovered by locals at Bokul Maj Gaon Chapori, showed signs of rape and murder.
Outraged residents gathered outside the Lahowal Police Station, demanding justice. The victim’s sister accused her lover, Varun Mura, of the crime, claiming her sister had received a call from him before disappearing.
