Protests Erupt in Kokrajhar Over Racist Remarks by Domino’s Manager

Protests erupted in Kokrajhar after the manager of Domino’s Pizza, Pritam Devroy, made racist remarks about the Bodo community. Terms like “tribal,” “junglee,” and “prostitute” went viral on social media, sparking outrage. Local youths locked the pizza shop, and Devroy fled. The All-Bodo Students Union (ABSU), Bodo National Students’ Union (BONSU), and All-Assam Tribal Students’ Association (AATSU) demanded his arrest. A memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister, and a formal complaint was lodged with the police. Protestors emphasized that Devroy’s comments threaten social harmony and demanded strict action.
