Rabha Groups Stage Dharna Demanding Sixth Schedule Status for RHAC

Rabha organisations, including ARSU and ARWC, held a two-hour dharna in South Kamrup demanding inclusion of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council under the Sixth Schedule. They accused the government of delaying action despite promises and warned of intensified protests. A memorandum was submitted to CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, urging a tripartite meeting with the Centre and State within November 2025.
