Raijor Dal Announces First List of 11 Candidates for Assam Assembly Elections 2026

Raijor Dal on Wednesday released its first list of 11 candidates for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections. The announcement was made in Guwahati by party executive president Bhasko D. Saikia.

Key candidates include Abdur Rashid Mandal (East Goalpara), Romen Chandra Borthakur (Jalukbari), Anjan Talukdar (Manas), Azizur Rahman (Dalgaon), Mehboob Mukhtar (Dhing), Alok Nath (Tezpur), Dulal Chandra Baruah (Sissiborgaon), Rahul Chetry (Margherita), Lakhyajyoti Gogoi (Digboi), Dr. Gyanashree Bora (Mariyani), and Ratan Daw (Bokakhat).

Party president Akhil Gogoi said this is only the first phase, and more candidates will be announced soon. The announcement comes a day after the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee released its first list of candidates for the upcoming elections.
