Recovery of Two Miners’ Bodies from Illegal Coal Mine in Assam After 14 Days

In a successful operation by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), two bodies of miners were recovered 14 days after being trapped in an illegal coal mine in Assam’s Ledo. The deceased, identified as John and Final from Meghalaya, were trapped on May 25, 2024, along with a third miner whose body was recovered on June 1. The continuous efforts of the NDRF and SDRF teams led to the recovery of the remaining two bodies early on Sunday.
