Residents Allege Civic Machinery Worth Lakhs Lying Unused in Teok

Teok, Assam: Residents of Teok have alleged that sanitation equipment worth several lakhs, including a drain-cleaning machine, JCB excavator and mobile toilets purchased by the Teok Municipal Board, has remained unused for years within the municipal premises.

Locals claim the idle machinery is deteriorating while drainage and sanitation problems continue across the town. They have urged the authorities to investigate the matter, put the equipment to use, and sought the intervention of Teok MLA Bikash Saikia to address the issue.
