Residents of Saotal Basti Protest Over Power Outage

Residents of Saotal Basti in the Subhang GP area of Borkhola, Cachar, staged a protest on Thursday against a three-month-long power outage caused by a faulty transformer. Despite repeated appeals, the issue remains unresolved, causing significant hardship, especially for children trying to study. Local MLA Misbahul Islam had previously requested a transformer replacement but the issue persists. APDCL officials acknowledged the problem and promised to prioritize repairs, although they disputed claims of a three-month outage.
