Retired DAO Files FIR Over Fake Govt Job Letters Using His Name

Dr. Nitumoni Gogoi, a retired District Agriculture Officer, lodged an FIR in Jorhat after discovering forged appointment letters using his name and signature. The fake letters, dated July 12, 2025, offered three jobs in AAU and the Agriculture Department. Gogoi clarified he retired in 2024 and has no authority to issue appointments. He urged police to investigate the forgery and expose those involved.
