Rs 47.5 Lakhs in Fake Currency Seized in Guwahati; Two Arrested

Guwahati witnessed a significant recovery of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) amounting to Rs 47.5 lakhs on Monday. Police arrested Hiramul Islam and Nazrul Islam in connection with the seized currency, which was found in a Mahindra Bolero vehicle (registration number AS 12 CC 0399) on VIP Road. Additionally, authorities recovered a suspicious boat-shaped object weighing 1.750 kg, suspected to be fake gold.
