Saikia Accuses CM Sarma of Misleading People Ahead of 2026 Polls

Leader of Opposition Debabrata Saikia accused CM Himanta Biswa Sarma of creating controversies over “suspicious foreigners” to divert attention from real issues before the 2026 polls.
He demanded a bill defining such terms, criticized Sarma’s handling of border disputes, and slammed his remarks on “mother’s milk” as insulting.
Saikia also alleged the CM was exploiting the SIT report to target APCC chief Gaurav Gogoi, stressing Gogoi had done nothing anti-national.
