SAKP Urges Assam Government to Release Enhanced DA from January 2026

Guwahati: The Sodou Asam Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) has urged Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to implement the recently announced 2% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike from January 2026 and release the arrears in a single installment.

In a memorandum submitted on Thursday, the employees’ body welcomed the Assam Cabinet’s decision to increase DA by 2%, bringing state government employees and pensioners on par with Central Government rates.
