Science Stream Tops HS Results in Barak Valley

The Higher Secondary final examination results in Barak Valley showed the Science stream achieving the highest pass percentages across Cachar, Hailakandi and Sribhumi districts. Sribhumi recorded the best Science result with 92.32%, followed by Cachar at 88.14% and Hailakandi at 81.17%.

Arts stream results remained comparatively lower, while Commerce showed moderate performance across the three districts. Gurucharan University students also performed strongly, recording an overall pass percentage of 82.67%.

Educationists welcomed the results but stressed the need for better infrastructure, stronger academic monitoring and improved foundational education for long-term progress.
