In Assam, the plane landed at Pandu Port, with Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah emphasizing its potential to boost state-wide connectivity within a year. In Meghalaya, the seaplane touched down at Umiam Lake, with Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu and CM Conrad Sangma showcasing its feasibility.
Manufactured by Canada’s De Havilland Aircraft and operated by SpiceJet, the seaplane promises improved access to remote areas, tourism growth, and cost-effective operations in both states.
