SEBA Amends Weightage for Class IX Annual Examinations
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), has revised its previous notification regarding the maximum weightage of marks for Class IX annual examinations. The updated notification includes a 10-mark allocation from Gunotsav. The modified weightage distribution for the Class IX annual examination now stands as follows: 10 marks from the first unit test (20%), 30 marks from the half-yearly examination (30%), 10 marks from the second unit test (20%), 40 marks from the annual examination (40%), and 10 marks from Gunotsav (10%). This modification applies solely to government and provincialized schools. Non-provincialized and private schools, exempt from Gunotsav, will have a 50% weightage considered for the annual examination instead of the 40% allotted to government and provincialized schools.
