In response to a letter from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption regarding the alleged illicit sale of agarwood trees at Amguri College, the Gauhati High Court ordered the Superintendent of Police, Sivasagar, to take action.
Chief Justice (Acting) Lanusungkum Jamir and Justice Kaushik Goswami, the division bench of the Gauhati High Court, instructed the petitioner to submit a representation to the Forest Department within a fortnight during the hearing of PIL (80/2023), which was filed by Diganta Saikia.
