Seven ULFA-I Linkmen Arrested in Assam–Arunachal Joint Operation

A joint operation by Assam Police and Arunachal Pradesh Police led to the arrest of seven suspected linkmen of ULFA-I in Tinsukia’s Lekhapani area after a week-long intelligence-based operation.

The suspects are believed to have supported militant activities, including possible involvement in the recent grenade attack in Jagun that injured four commandos. Police say they provided logistical support and communication links for the insurgent group.

All seven are in custody and being interrogated, while security has been tightened along the Assam–Arunachal border.
