SIT Issues Look-Out Circular for 22 Suspects in Assam Trading Scam

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the unregulated trading scams in Assam has issued a look-out circular for 22 suspects who have reportedly gone into hiding. Led by IGP Sanjukta Parashar of the CID, the SIT is intensifying efforts to track down key figures, including influencer Sumi Borah and her husband Tarkik Borah. Among those wanted is Deepankar Barman, linked to the ₹7,000 crore DB Stockbroking scam, who is believed to have fled to Australia. Extensive search operations are underway, with Meghalaya Police expected to assist. The suspected kingpin, Bishal Phukan, currently in Dibrugarh Jail, will be transferred to Guwahati for further investigation.
