Sonowal Meets Families of Arunachal Road Accident Victims in Tinsukia

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday visited bereaved families in Tinsukia who lost relatives in the recent road accident in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district. He met the families at Gelapukhuri, expressed condolences, and assured full government support.

Sonowal said rescue and relief efforts are underway with coordination between Assam and Arunachal authorities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh for each deceased from the PMNRF, while the Assam government has also provided financial assistance to the affected families.
