Special TET Candidates’ Hunger Strike in Assam Enters Seventh Day
Special TET-qualified candidates in Assam continued their indefinite hunger strike for the seventh day on Sunday, demanding immediate appointments. Organized by the All Assam Special TET Qualified Association at Chachal, the protesters accused the BJP-led state government of not fulfilling its electoral promise of providing jobs to successful candidates.
Despite several protesters falling ill, they remain resolute, highlighting their years of service under the Sarva Shiksha Mission. Although 667 candidates cleared the challenging Special TET exam in October 2021, the government has not made any appointments, causing growing distress among the candidates.
