Special Trains Introduced for Ambubachi Mela Pilgrims by NF Railway

To manage the expected surge of pilgrims during the Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhya Temple, NF Railway has introduced a pair of unreserved special trains between Guwahati and Dalkhola stations. These trains will make three trips in both directions to provide comfort for devotees during the summer.

Special train No. 05674 (Guwahati-Dalkhola) will depart Guwahati at 23:55 on June 23rd, 24th, and 26th, 2024, arriving in Dalkhola at 09:15 the following day. The return train, No. 05673 (Dalkhola-Guwahati), will leave Dalkhola at 09:45 on June 24th, 25th, and 27th, 2024, reaching Guwahati at 19:30 the same day.

The train will have 20 coaches, including sleeper and general sitting coaches, and will travel through several stations, including Kamakhya, Dudhnai, Goalpara Town, and others. This initiative aims to ease travel for pilgrims visiting the Kamakhya Temple and facilitate their return journeys, according to a press release.
