Speculation Grows Over Jayanta Bora’s Congress Candidacy Amid Protests

Amid opposition within Congress, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) chief Bhupen Borah confirmed approaching BJP turncoat Jayanta Bora to join the party. Despite meeting with Bora, Borah hinted that Bora might not receive a ticket for the November 19 by-polls.

Bora resigned from the BJP on October 18 after being denied a ticket for the Behali by-polls. However, his potential candidacy has sparked protests from Congress members and the minority community, who oppose his inclusion.
