Stray Tiger Triggers Fear in Sootea Villages Near Kaziranga

Panic has gripped villages in southern Sootea after a partially eaten deer was found in the Bhojmari area near the Biswanath–Panpur embankment. Locals suspect the deer was killed by a stray tiger that may have wandered from Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.

The incident was reported to the Biswanath Wildlife Division, and forest officials removed the carcass as per procedure. However, fear and tension continue among residents in the area.
