Supreme Court Stay on Khera Bail Welcomed by Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed the Supreme Court of India decision to stay transit anticipatory bail granted to Congress leader Pawan Khera by the Telangana High Court. Sarma questioned the court’s jurisdiction and said the law should take its course. The case relates to Khera’s allegations against Sarma’s wife, which were denied.
Sarma also hit back at Rahul Gandhi over calls for a probe, urging equal accountability. He further spoke on Women’s Reservation, supporting 33% quota and stating Parliament will debate amendments to implement it earlier than planned.
