Suspected ULFA-I Linkmen Apprehended in Arunachal Pradesh

Two suspected linkmen affiliated with the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I), Chanchal Moran and Nirmal Moran, were apprehended by police in Medo, Chowkham, Arunachal Pradesh. They are currently being questioned to uncover further connections.

Last month, Dispur Police in Guwahati arrested Subhash Das and Nayan Kamal Deka for running an extortion racket while posing as ULFA members. They attempted to extort money from a businessman’s son, who reported the incident to the police. The extortionists made threats and demanded money through a phone call, leading to their arrest and subsequent legal action.
