Suspended ACS Officer Nupur Bora Re-arrested in Land Fraud Case

The Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell on Tuesday re-arrested suspended ACS officer Nupur Bora in an alleged land fraud case following an FIR. Officials said Bora illegally facilitated land mutations, issuing 524 anomalous orders while posted in Barpeta and Kamrup. District administrations have been asked to cancel these orders. Vigilance teams also conducted raids, seizing land documents. A separate disproportionate assets case against her is already pending, in which she was arrested last year after cash and jewellery were recovered from her Guwahati residence.
