Suspicious Death of Widow in Chaparmukh: Suicide or Foul Play?

A 48-year-old widow was found hanging at her brother’s residence in Chaparmukh New Colony on Thursday afternoon, in what initially appears to be a suicide. However, neighbors allege she was murdered. The woman, who had been living with her brother and his wife in a railway quarter after her husband’s death and her son’s abandonment, reportedly suffered from psychiatric disorders.

Despite family claims of suicide, suspicions arose due to frequent family disputes and blood marks found in the room. The woman’s brother was absent at the time, having traveled to Badarpur. Police, along with CID personnel and forensic experts, are investigating the incident, as no suicide note was found, leaving the circumstances of her death unclear.
