Tension in Barpeta After CRPF Jawan Accidentally Injures Child During Vehicle Check

A tense situation erupted in Nagaon, Barpeta district, after a CRPF jawan’s baton accidentally struck a 6-year-old child during a routine vehicle inspection on Wednesday night. The incident occurred as security forces tried to stop a scooter for helmet violations. The scooter driver allegedly attempted to evade the checkpoint, leading to the accidental injury of the child, who was returning home with his mother and a Kung Fu instructor. Locals protested, but Barpeta police quickly arrived to defuse the situation and ensured the child received medical attention.
