Tension in West Karbi Anglong Over Alleged Illegal Takeover of Community Fishery

Residents of Jirim Gaon in West Karbi Anglong protested after a group allegedly led by forest officer Haraing Kramsa and market head Bronson Kramsa tried to seize a community fishery and destroyed a Chhath Maiya worship site. The fishery holds both economic and religious value. Two police complaints have been filed, and authorities are investigating the incident.
