Tension on Assam-Nagaland Border Following Firing Incident

A tense situation emerged on the Assam-Nagaland border near Mariani’s Dissoi Valley Reserve Forest on Sunday night. Suspected armed Naga miscreants allegedly opened fire at livestock, resulting in no human injuries but several animals went missing. The livestock belonged to Komora Saora. Assam Police inspected the site and sent the injured animals to Mariani Veterinary Hospital. The incident has caused panic among Assamese border residents, recalling previous attacks by Naga miscreants and ongoing land occupation disputes.
