Tezpur University Delegation Raises Concerns Over Road Widening Impact

A Tezpur University delegation submitted a memorandum to Sonitpur DC Ankur Bharali, opposing road widening near the campus boundary.

The proposed PWD road expansion threatens the university’s infrastructure, sensitive labs, and historic Main Gate. The delegation urged reconsideration, citing safety and structural risks, and raised concerns over land being available on the opposite side.

The university community has warned of potential agitation if their concerns remain unaddressed.
