Tezpur University Hosts ‘Within the Frame’ Photography Workshop

A photography workshop titled “Within the Frame” was held at Tezpur University as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism. The event, organised with the university’s Photography Club, saw active participation from students, faculty, and photography enthusiasts.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Amarendra Kumar Das highlighted photography’s growing role as a powerful communication tool and stressed its importance in academic and professional fields.

Head of the department, Dr. Manoj Deori, emphasized the value of visual storytelling and noted that such workshops offer practical exposure to students.

The technical session was led by photographer Arpan Kalita, who discussed photography fundamentals and creative practices, encouraging participants to develop their own style through experience.

The programme was attended by several university officials, including Prof Chandan Goswami and Prof Manvendra Mandal.
