The “Baayu” app for electric bike taxi service is launched by Transport Minister Parimal Suklabaidya

As part of his ongoing Path Suraksha Jan Andolan, Minister of Transport Parimal Suklabaidya unveiled the innovative and forward-thinking sustainable mobility initiative of ASTC on Sunday, marking a historic moment for the Assam government: Baayu, an app-based electric bike taxi service.

At the event, India’s first distributed, app-based, and entirely electric bike taxi services were unveiled. It is a historic day for the state as it emerges as the first in India to have the first decentralised, 100% electric bike taxi service powered by an app.
