The governor of Assam has approved the formation of 79 sub-districts

According to an official notification issued on Tuesday, Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has approved the formation of 79 sub-districts.

The sub-divisions, to be known as sub-districts, were established for administrative convenience and to maximise synergy, productivity, and efficiency at the grassroot level, according to the statement.
