Assam Government Bans Mobile Phones in Cabinet Meetings

To maintain focus and decorum, the Assam government has banned ministers, senior secretaries, and top officers from bringing mobile phones to cabinet meetings.

The Cabinet Cell issued a directive following discussions in the December 7, 2024 meeting. The letter instructed officials to leave their phones outside the cabinet room to ensure undivided attention and uphold the meeting’s decorum.
