Third Hearing Held in Zubeen Garg Death Case, Wife Flags Delay Concerns

The third hearing in the case related to the death of cultural icon Zubeen Garg was held on Saturday, with his wife Garima Saikia Garg present in court. She expressed concern over repeated adjournments, warning that frequent delays could prolong the trial, which involves 396 witnesses.
Garima sought a stronger prosecution team, citing an aggressive defence strategy, and said she has appointed a lawyer to assist her. The court objected to the circulation of uncertified chargesheet copies on social media and ordered an inquiry, including into allegations involving Akhil Gogoi. The next hearings are scheduled as proceedings continue.
