Three Assam Police Personnel Injured in Bokakhat Grenade Blast

Three Assam Police personnel were injured in a grenade blast near their camp in Panbari, Bokakhat, on Tuesday evening. The explosion, targeting the 11th Battalion camp, caused panic among locals. The injured—Siddhartha Borbora, Sushil Bhumij, and Mintu Hazarika—are undergoing treatment. Authorities suspect a retaliatory act by poaching or drug networks, not militancy. Agriculture Minister Atul Bora visited the injured and condemned the attack. A manhunt is underway, and two suspects have been detained for questioning. Security has been tightened across the area.
