Three Suspected UKNA Cadres Arrested in Manipur, Arms and Opium Seized

Manipur Police arrested three suspected cadres of the United Kuki National Army during operations in Churachandpur following the Tronglaobi incident.

The arrested individuals were identified as Jampao Kuki, Sasang, and Paulallem Vaiphai.

Security forces recovered an AK-47 rifle, a pistol, ammunition, and ₹20,100 in cash. Additionally, over 21 kg of suspected raw opium was seized.

In a separate operation in Molphei Tampak, more weapons including an automatic rifle, pistol, lethode tubes, and locally made arms were recovered. Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
