Tinsukia Sunday Market Relocated to Reduce Traffic Chaos
The roadside Sunday market in Tinsukia has been moved to a new market complex on the Tinsukia-Dibrugarh bypass road, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion. Vendors previously occupied major roads, causing severe traffic and litter issues. The new complex, built for Rs 5.29 crore under the City Infra Development Fund, accommodates around 500 vendors. While the move was generally appreciated, some vendors still occupied the roadside, causing obstructions. The challenge remains to keep Tinsukia roads vendor-free during weekdays.
