TMC Announces First 17 Candidates for Assam Polls, Enters Electoral Fray

The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) has released its first list of 17 candidates for the Assam Assembly elections, marking its formal entry into the state.

Senior leader Dulu Ahmed will contest from Chamaria, setting up a multi-cornered fight with Congress candidate Rekibuddin Ahmed and AIUDF’s Imdad Husaain.

The list includes candidates across Lower Assam, Upper Assam, and Barak Valley, featuring key names like Udangsri Narzary, Mominur Islam, Kalyani Kalita, and Jiten Nag.

With this move, TMC aims to expand its presence in Assam, intensifying competition in several constituencies.
