Traffic Restrictions Issued for Guwahati Durga Puja Idol Immersion on October 12-13

The Guwahati Police Traffic Branch has announced traffic restrictions for idol immersion during the Durga Puja celebrations on October 12 and 13. These rules will be in place from 10 AM on October 12 until the immersion at Kachomari IWT Ghat in Fancy Bazar is completed.

• Vehicles from Chandmari side: Regulated at Guwahati Club and diverted via MC Road, FC Road, and Lachit Ghat.
• From Tokobari, Paltanbazar, Rehabari: Diverted via Arya Nagar, Panbazar, and Lachit Ghat.
• From Kumarpara, Lal Ganesh: Route via Arya Nagar, Panbazar, and Lachit Ghat.
• From Ulubari, South Sarania: Route via GS Road, Panbazar, and Lachit Ghat.
• From Rajgarh, Christianbasti: Via Rajgarh Road, Guwahati Club, and Lachit Ghat.
• From Ganeshguri, Kahilipara: Via Zoo Road, Guwahati Club, and Lachit Ghat.

Restrictions also apply to regular vehicles, with diversions set up at key points like TC Point, Ulubari, and Jalukbari. Vehicles headed to immersion sites at Pandu Port are also regulated.
