Traffic Restrictions on Silchar-Hailakandi Road Due to Construction

The Silchar-Hailakandi Road is undergoing construction for a 4m x 4m RCC box cell culvert between C.R. Avenue Point and Shani Mandir. One key lane has been closed from February 5 and will remain inaccessible until March 20, 2025.

Earlier, the left-hand side lane was closed for similar work, extending beyond February 2025. With only one operational lane, traffic congestion is expected. Authorities have urged commuters to plan accordingly.
