Tragic Bus Accident in Kokrajhar Leaves 18 Injured

Early Saturday morning, a passenger bus traveling from West Bengal to Guwahati met with a fatal accident on the National Highway in Kokrajhar district. The accident occurred in Serfanguri, Patgaon, involving a bus with the registration number AS 01 PC 5625. Eighteen passengers sustained injuries and were promptly admitted to Kokrajhar Medical College Hospital, where their condition is being monitored.

State Cabinet Minister U.G. Brahma visited the hospital to assess the situation and meet the injured. BTR chief Promod Boro has also expressed concern and is closely monitoring the developments. Local authorities have been instructed to assist the victims and their families. The cause of the accident is under investigation, with preliminary assessments suggesting driver error.
