Tragic Collision in Guwahati: Police Vehicle and Dumper Clash, Officers Injured

A devastating road accident has rocked the streets of Guwahati’s Lokhra area, leaving several police officers severely injured. The collision occurred between a police vehicle, transporting the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dharamtul police station, and a moving dumper. The police vehicle, en route from Nagaon to Khanapara, collided with another vehicle on the Lokhra flyover. The impact was so intense that the front portion of the police vehicle sustained extensive damage, resulting in severe injuries to the OC and six other officers. Prompt action by the Basistha traffic police helped rescue the injured, who were swiftly transported for urgent medical treatment. As investigations into the accident begin, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks of reckless driving and the importance of adhering to safety measures.
