Tragic Death of Assam Engineering College Student in Train Incident; Family Suspects Foul Play

A student from the Assam Engineering College (AEC) in Guwahati, identified as Barnil Kalita, tragically lost his life after being hit by a train near the Tetelia rail gate. Barnil, a 4th-semester student in the Civil Department, was found deceased around 6 pm on Wednesday. The locals, upon discovery, called for an ambulance and transported the body to the Apollo Excel Care Hospital. The incident is suspected to have occurred around 4:30 pm. Barnil’s parents, Achyut Kalita and Kabita Kalita, have registered a case at the police station, suspecting foul play in their son’s death.
