Tragic Drowning Claims Lives of Two Teenagers in Nagaon’s Tenga Basti

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Tenga Basti, Balijuri, under Nagaon district, as two young friends, Ankit Srivastav (16) and Owais Ahmed (15), lost their lives after drowning in a pond while bathing. Despite efforts by local residents and police from the Itakhola station, the bodies of the teenagers were recovered from the 20-foot-deep pond later that evening. The tragic mishap occurred during what was meant to be a leisurely bath, highlighting the dangers of water bodies, especially for those who cannot swim.
