Tragic Incident in Assam: 28-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Raped and Murdered, Two Arrested

In a disturbing incident in the Darrang district of Assam, a 28-year-old woman, employed as a daily wager at a brick kiln in Naodinga village, was reported missing on March 7. Darrang Superintendent of Police Prakash Sonowal confirmed that the woman’s body was discovered inside the smoke channel of the kiln the following day. After a preliminary investigation, it was revealed that two individuals allegedly raped and killed her before dumping her body. The police have arrested the two suspects, and an ongoing interrogation is taking place. The victim, originally from Kokrajhar district, had been residing with her husband while working at the brick kiln. The body has been sent for post-mortem, with further details pending.
