Tragic Landslide Claims Five Lives in Karimganj, Assam

A devastating landslide late Tuesday night in Gainachora (Bendargool) village, under Badarpur police station in Karimganj district, claimed the lives of five individuals, including a woman and her three daughters. The victims were identified as Roymun Nessa (55), Sahida Khanam (18), Jahida Khanam (16), Hamida Khanam (11), and three-year-old Mehdi Hassan, son of Mahimuddin. The landslide prompted a swift response from local authorities and SDRF personnel, who conducted a three-hour rescue operation to recover the bodies from the debris.
