Two Detained in Morikolong Dacoity Case

Nagaon Police have detained two persons in connection with the Morikolong dacoity that took place early Friday morning. Armed miscreants allegedly entered the house of physician Dr Ranjit Saikia around 2:30 am, assaulted him and his wife, and fled with cash, jewellery, and valuables.

Police picked up the suspects during late-night operations and are currently interrogating them at Nagaon Sadar Police Station. A search operation is ongoing to trace the remaining accused. Meanwhile, locals have demanded stronger night patrolling amid rising crime concerns in the area.
