Two Friends Drown in Madhura River Near Silchar

Rajdeep Das (23) and Biswajit Dutta (19) drowned while bathing in Madhura river near Silchar. Swept away by a strong current, their bodies were recovered near Madhura Dayadisha waterfall after a rescue operation led by local residents. Such summer tragedies have occurred frequently in the area, popular among youths seeking relief from heat.
